BEST, THE NETHERLANDS PartyPPL, the nightlife agenda for the Netherlands and Belgium, is about to release an app of its own: for iPhone and iPad, with an app for the Apple Watch, and the same app on the Mac and the Apple TV. The app is being tested now.

PartyPPL lists nightlife from techno to hardcore and from club night to festival, as a list per day, on a map and in a month calendar. The events come from clubs, organisers and ticket shops, and organisers post their own events for free. The agenda team checks every event within a day.

PartyPPL is more than an agenda you read. One tap says "I'm going" and your friends see you are going. Every party has a group chat, and whether you join it is your choice. Tickets are paid with Apple Pay or iDEAL, and resale is only possible at the original price.

The app adds what a website cannot. Your ticket sits in Apple Wallet and on your Apple Watch and works at the door without a signal. Widgets show what is on tonight and this weekend and when your next night starts. On the night itself a Live Activity keeps track of the time to the doors and who is playing now. Wake me sets a real alarm, half an hour before the doors or a quarter of an hour before a set. You sign in with Apple and Face ID, and Siri and Spotlight know your nights. On the Mac your next night sits in the menu bar; on the Apple TV you see what is on tonight.

The app needs iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, macOS or tvOS 26 or later. Until it is in the App Store, and on Android, Windows and older devices, PartyPPL works as a web app from partyppl.nl, with the same account. Browsing needs no account; to do something you sign in with an e-mail address and a code. PartyPPL is for people aged 18 and over.
